Olga Kate Stamps, formerly of Coahoma and Big Spring, passed away, June 7, 2007, at the age of 102 at Eden Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Mt. Olive Memorial Park in Big Spring with Rev. Flynn Long and Rev. Tom Koger, officiating.The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.Olga was born May 3, 1905, in Coahoma to Kate and W. S. Wolf. She attended and graduated from the Coahoma Schools. She married H. L. "Red" Stamps on June 2, 1929 in Ft. Stockton, Texas. The couple had two daughters, June Prather McCasland and Margaret Ogden. They ran a family grocery-hardware store in Coahoma for many years. The couple moved to New Braunfels in 1990 to retire near their family. She was a member of Presbyterian churches all her life. She is survived by daughter, Margaret; grandchildren, Brent Brooks, Noel Brooks, Markay Brashears, Mark Prather and Paul Prather; ten great-grand children and four great-great grandchildrenHer husband and daughter, June, preceded her in death.
