Ola Mae Haggard Maxwell, 94, of Stanton, died on Saturday, December 4, 2004, in a Stanton nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 6, 2004 at Lamesa Memorial Park, with Rev. David Harp pastor of First Baptist Church in Stanton, officiating. She was born on May 19, 1910, in Denton County, Texas and married Robert Haggard in 1925 in Lubbock County, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1947. She then married R.D. Maxwell in 1954 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He preceded her in death 1972. She was a longtime resident of Stanton and loved sewing. Gomom will be greatly missed by her family and those who knew her. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Stanton and was also a member of The Order of Eastern Star, the Old Sorehead Band and Senior Citizens Group. Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, R.E. and Helen Haggard of San Angelo; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son, Glenn Haggard, one daughter and son-in-law, Willodean and Delbert Dickenson, four brothers and five sisters.
