Ofelia Holmes, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at First Assembly of God on Wadley. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.

Ofelia Holmes was born on September 19, 1973 in Andrews, Texas to Natalio and Anita Bustmante. She graduated from Andrews High School and then from Midland College where she obtained an Associate of Computer Science Degree.

Ofelia is survived by her husband, Nick Holmes, son Steven P. Welch, parents Natalio and Anita Bustamante, brothers, Victor and wife Patricia Bustamante, Natalio Jr. and wife Sayda Bustamante, sister Estela Alvarez, many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.

Ofelia is preceded in death by her beloved son Daniel Benjamin Welch.

The family would like to express their gratitude towards family and friends for all their support and love in this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children’s Medical Hospital  Dallas.  Children’s Medical Center Dallas

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Josue Bustamante, Andrew Alvarez, Nathan Bustamante, Auden Bustamante, Evan Bustamante, and her brother Victor Bustamante.
