O.T. Teague, 89, of Big Spring, Texas, died on Thursday, December 3, 2009, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Brent Teague Austin, a Pastor of Crossroads Fellowship in Raleigh, North Carolina, officiating.The family will receive friends from 7 PM to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.He was born on February 9, 1920, in Mount Pleasant, Texas and married Nollie K. Teague on September 10, 1940 in Big Spring, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 7, 2004.Mr. Teague came to Big Spring with his family in 1935. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theater. For his service during the war he recieved the American Theater Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the Victory Ribbon. Mr. Teague worked at Cosden Oil and Chemical Refinery for many years until he retired in October of 1969. He was a Baptist.Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Russell Austin of Fresno, California; two grandsons, Stephen R. Austin and wife, Laurie of California and Brent T. Austin of Raleigh, North Carolina; a great grandson, Shadoe Austin of California; his brothers and sisters, Wynn Shottlekorb and Peggy Graff of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lynn Nelson of Alemeda, California, Betty Hank and husband, Charles of Brentwood, California, Bob Teague of Yuba City, California, Kenneth Teague and wife, Sarah of Placerville, California and Charles Teague of San Angelo; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Ollie Stallcup of Odessa; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was also preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jackie Teague while he was in the service during World War II.The family suggests memorials to a hospice organization of your choice.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
