O. D. O'Daniel, 68, of Coahoma, died on Monday, August 27, 2001, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 29, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born on April 18, 1933 in Ft. Worth, Texas and married Sue Lloyd Scott on February 1, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada. O. D. was a lifetime resident of the family ranch southeast of Coahoma. The ranch was settled in 1902 by his grandfather, M. H. O'Daniel and later became known as the Snyder Field. He had owned and operated O. D. O'Daniel Trucking Company for many years and was also involved in ranching. He was a Baptist, a member of Big Spring Men's Bowling Association, a Mason and a member of the Shrine. Survivors include his wife, Sue O'Daniel of Coahoma; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robbie and Cindy O'Daniel of Coahoma, Patrick O'Daniel of Phoenix, Arizona and Jeff and JoAnn O'Daniel of Big Spring; one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Steve Rivera of Lubbock; two granddaughters, Kelli Mount and husband, Aaron, of Dallas and Kenzi Rivera of Lubbock; three grandsons, Chance O'Daniel of Coahoma, Tanner Rivera of Big Spring and A. J. Valencia of Big Spring and one great grandson, Case Mount of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
