O.A. (Bob) Madison, of Coahoma, Texas, and Sun City West, Arizona, has made the final trip home to be buried in the Trinity Memorial Cemetery in Big Spring Texas on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm.O.A. (Bob) Madison or GrandBob as he liked to be called, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by loving family and friends at the age of 93 in Sun City West, Arizona on April 6, 2019. He was married to Adaline W. Madison for 70 years. They retired from teaching to Sun City West, Arizona in 1985. He left behind her two children, Mary Annette Maples, of Gardendale, Texas and Laura Lynn MacKay, of Carlsbad, California, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.O.A. (Bob) Madison was an Ensign in the Navy during World War II. His Battle Ship, the South Dakota, sailed into Tokyo harbor passed where the USA and Japan were signing the treaty that ended WWII. He graduated from Big Spring High School and later became a teacher there. He had masters degree in Education from Texas Tech. He was the High School Principal in Coahoma in the 1960s and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 72 years.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
