Norma L. Kelly, 67, a beautiful, loving wife, mother and grandmother, entered into rest on February 2, 2014. She was a true Christian and always had God in her heart. She led her family through good and bad times and through sickness and healing. She dedicated her life to providing a good home for her husband and children and later being a loving grandmother to her grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Farrell and brother, Ronnie Farrell.She is survived by her husband, Larry Kelly of Midland, TX; mother, Lil Farrell of Midland, TX; daughter, Christine Morgan and husband Randal of Midland, TX; son, Garrick Kelly and wife Barbara of Littleton, CO; brother, Charlie Farrell and wife Jan of Cedaredge, CO; grandchildren, Blake and Brant Morgan of Midland, TX and Emily Kelly of Littleton, CO., and many nieces and nephews.Norma was born on August 13, 1946 in Flagstaff, AZ. She attended public school in Brawley California. She attended San Diego State University, where she achieved her Bachelors in Education and Masters Degrees in Education Administration. She retired from Brawley Elementary School District on June 30, 2004. Norma was an elementary teacher, school site resource teacher, Director of Special Projects/Student Services, and ended her career as the Assistant Superintendent. During her career she earned many awards and recognitions to include the Association of School Administrators, Administrator of the Year.During her first teaching job in Seeley, California, she met Larry, who became the love of her life.Norma was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Midland, TX. where she served as President of the Partner’s Sunday School Class.After retiring in 2004, she and Larry moved from Brawley California to Midland Texas to be closer to family. While in Midland, she enjoyed volunteering at the George Bush House, and a member of the Women’s Study Club. She became an avid Bridge player with the Bridge of the Permian Basin Bridge Club. She loved to plan and take trips and was blessed with the ability to see many parts of the world. She especially loved sharing these experiences with friends and family.The family’s appreciation goes to all the healthcare and Hospice nurses, aids and staff who cared for her. Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00AM at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Macky Pitts officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Midland.,
