Norma Joyce Sundy

Norma Joyce Sundy, 85, passed away Monday, September 18, 2023. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with her Cousin Gene Jones of Canyon, Texas officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Norma was born October 21, 1937 in Lamesa, Texas to Raymond and Clara Jackson. She married Monroe Sundy on December 26, 1954 in Big Spring, Texas. She retired from Atmos Energy Company in February 1998 after 25 years of service as a general customer service representative in the Big Spring office.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Springer (Phillip) of Ballinger and son Ronald Sundy of Big Spring; her sisters: Elaine Owens of Lampasas and Daphna Smith (Randy) of Terrell; sisters-in-laws: Beverly Sundy of Big Spring and Johnnie Sundy of Midland; her grandchildren: Bryan Lepard, Amy (Chad) Campbell, Melissa (T.J.) Rogers and Drew Springer as well as eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her daughter Karla Lepard Pointer; son’s in-laws: Dickie Lepard and David Pointer; a grandson Kyle Springer; and brother and sister-in-law’s Jackie Owens, Albert and Shirley Sundy, Clark Sundy, Allen and Polly Sundy, Carl and Ida Bell Bankston and Jimmy Sundy.

Pallbearers will be Randy and Owen Smith, Phillip and Drew Springer and Bryan and Will Lepard.
