Norma Jean Clements, 89, of Snyder, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026. She went from holding the hands of her family to holding the hand of Jesus.
Services will be held Sunday, April 19, at 2:30 at the First Baptist Church in Snyder.
Norma was born August 27, 1936 to parents Norman Christian and Johnnie Lucas Christian in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was an excellent seamstress and she crocheted many afghans for her family and friends.
She married Harvey Clements on January 1, 1956 and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters: Debbie Smith and husband Carl of Snyder and Paula Martin and husband Kim of Sanger. Five grandchildren: Aaron Martin and wife Anna of Lantana, Carla Robinson and husband Cheyenne of Snyder, Kendra Martin of Coppell, Nathan Smith and wife Vanessa of Snyder, and Tyler Martin of San Angelo. Ten great-grandchildren: Lesli Cooley and husband Paxton, Lauren Whetsel and Tate Reynolds, Stayton Robinson, Mason Whetsel, Hadley Robinson, Presley and Blaykli Smith, all of Snyder, Avery, Alex and Amelia Martin of Lantana. Three great-great-grandchildren: Sawyer and Sloane Cooley and Karter Reynolds, all of Snyder.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother Tommy Ray Christian.
