Norma Cheuvront, 81, of Midland, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2008, in Midland, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 9:30 AM Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Manor Park Chapel in Midland with Rev. Bill Billett, officiating.Norma was born on a farm near Liberty, Nebraska to Ruth and Glenn Geer. The family later moved to a farm near Montezuma, Iowa. After graduating from high school in Montezuma, she attended business school in Lincoln, Nebraska. While in Lincoln, she met and married her husband, Ted and they celebrated their 60th anniversary on December 24, 2007. They moved many times throughout the Midwest due to Ted's job, settling in Naperville, Illinois in 1966. They retired in 1986 and moved to Midland in December, 2007. They loved to travel both overseas and in the U.S. They were active members of the First Christian Church of Naperville, Illinois. Norma was a golf enthusiast and loved bridge. She was a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and University of Nebraska football.Survivors include husband, Ted Cheuvront of Midland; son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Barb Cheuvront of Denver, Colorado; daughter and son-in-law, Marylin and Robert Boomer of Midland; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Margaret Cheuvront of Omaha, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and 3 sisters.She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
