Norma Cherry, 70 of Big Spring, Texas, died on Thursday, July 24, 2003, in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, July 28, 2003 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel Big Spring with Rev. Joe Torres, Home Hospice Chaplain , officiating.Mrs. Cherry was born on May 31, 1933, in Fremont, Michigan, and married James \Tony\ Cherry on October 26, 1980 in Big Spring. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.She had worked in management at Canterbury North and retired in November of 2001. She loved flowers, crocheting and arts and crafts. She will be greatly missed by her husband, children, family and friends.Survivors include her husband, James \Tony\ Cherry of Big Spring; two daughters, Kathy Peters and Sandy Derks both of Savanna, Georgia; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Vickie Derks of Mansfield; two granddaughters, Heather Morrison and Rachel Peters of Savannah, Georgia; two grandsons, Raleigh Derks and Dalton Derks of Mansfield; one great granddaughter, Alexa Morrison of Savannah, Georgia, two step-daughters, Brenda Rose and Tricia Holcombe both of Midland, two step-grandsons and their wives, David and Joann Rose of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina and Dustin and Heather Rose of Midland; one step-granddaughter, Laci Holcombe of Midland, five step-great grandchildren, Nathan Thomas and Kylie Chapman of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, Whitney, Ashley and Shawn Connolly of Midland.
