Nora Belle Nairn 88, of Big Spring passed away at her home Monday, January 13, 2025. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Trinity Memorial Park.
Nora was born in Pittsburg, KS September 12, 1936 to Henry Earl and Dorothy Nora Clark where she was raised and attended school. Nora married Theodore “Ted” Nairn, Jr. April 5, 1952 and began their family the following year. Nora dedicated her time to raising their four children and keeping their home. Once the children were grown she worked for Germania Insurance, Gross and Schmidt and Wilson Construction as well as running her own antique and collectible business.
After retiring, Nora enjoyed traveling with Ted, keeping up with grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events, fishing at the coast, quilting, collecting antiques, playing cards and in her later years, she enjoyed keeping up with family and friends on her iPad. Her life was devoted to her family.
She is survived by one son, Jeff (Lea Ann) Nairn, of Hondo, TX and a daughter, Julie Duke of Big Spring. Five grandchildren, Valeri (Mike) Gantz of Schererville, IN, Michael (Melissa) Nairn of Big Spring, TX, Steve Nairn (Kayla Nestor) of Lowell, IN, Josef (Kim) Nairn of Coahoma, TX and Amy (Jayson) Reeves of Weatherford, TX. Six great-grandchildren, Ali Hilger of Big Spring, TX, Tyler Nairn of Lubbock, TX, Nevaeh Nairn of Big Spring, TX, Collin Nairn of Coahoma, TX and Laynie and Claira Reeves of Weatherford, TX. Three great-great grandchildren, Armani, Levi and Londyn of Big Spring, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Earl Clark and Dorothy Nora (Russow) Clark, her brother James “Jay” Earl Clark, and two sons, Theodore Michael “Mike” Nairn and Mark Nairn.
