Neva Herndon, 92, of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Private family graveside services will be held.
She was born January 27, 1929 in Colorado City, Texas to Herbert Howard Conner and Thelma Mae Carpenter Conner. Neva married Lee B. Herndon February 21, 1952 in Colorado City and he preceded her in death December 10, 2017.
Neva had been a resident of Big Spring for 67 years and worked as an oil and gas clerk for Fina for 31 years before retiring. She was a member of the 14th and Main Church of Christ, liked to read and work in the yard and at one time had 100 rose bushes.
Survivors include one daughter, LeAnn Bruton of Bandera; a grandson, Jason Baskin of Nashville, TN; and a granddaughter, Lauren Bowman and husband, Robert of San Antonio.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a son-in-law, Martin Bruton.
