Nettie Arnold Creighton, 93, of Big Spring, died on September 21, 2003, at her daughter's residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, with Dr. Kenneth Patrick, chaplain of Baptist Memorials Center in San Angelo and Rev. Ken McMeans, pastor of College Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park Big Spring. She was born on January 15, 1910, in Big Spring and married Charlie Creighton on December 6, 1928 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1984. Nettie was a lifelong resident of Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1928. She attended Brantley-Draughn's Business School in Fort Worth. She and her husband had owned and operated Creighton Tire for close to fifty years. They had raised registered Hereford cattle and were very active in the Texas Hereford Association. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and had taught Sunday school for many years. She was currently a member of College Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Luan and Louis Stallings of Big Spring; two grandsons Kyle Stallings and wife, Jamie of Midland and Todd Stallings and wife, Connie of Dallas; two granddaughters, Dian Griffin and husband, Lane of Borden County and Layne Froman and husband, Ken of Gail; seventeen great grandchildren, Tom Griffin, Dan Griffin, Ben Griffin, K. C. Stallings, Tyler Stallings, Jacob Froman, Michael Froman, John Stallings, Elizabeth Row and husband Brad, Michelle Froman, Katherine Froman, Laura Griffin, Kristin Stallings, Claire Stallings, Anna Stallings, Jill Stallings and Kate Stallings; one great great grandchild, Hailey Row; two nephews, Arnold Parmley and David Arnold and two neices, Mary Arnold and Melanie Arnold. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nora Louisa Arnold; one son, Charles Arnold Creighton; one sister, Agnes Evans and one brother, Claude Arnold. Great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Malcolm Patterson, R. H. Weaver, Leland Wallace, Harry Middleton, Rich Anderson, Raymond Phillips, Cuin Grigsby, T. L.
