Nannie Lee Walker, 94, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 21, 2007 at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel, with her grandson, Rex Rainey, officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.She was born on September 25, 1913, in Prescott, Arkansas and married Shirley Walker on April 28, 1931 in Coahoma, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2001.Mrs. Walker came to Big Spring in 1928 with her family, B.F and Linnie Tubb. She was a homemaker and her grandchildren were the delight of her life. She was active member in First Baptist Church and a member of the Adult Senior Choir.Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Shirlene and Gorman Rainey and one son and daughter-in-law, Royce and Linda Walker all of Big Spring; six grandchildren and their spouses, Doby and Kasi Walker, Wendy and Cary Brown, Cole and Katie Walker, and Rex and Anecia Rainey all of Big Spring, Russ and Janet Rainey of North Richland Hills, and Kent and Cherri Rainey of Coahoma; great grandchildren, Kodi Dixon and wife, Ivy of Midland, Kaci Beth Walker of Austin, Amber Wooldridge and husband, Tyrel and MaLinda Walker both of Big Spring, Lindsey Brown of San Antonio, Cody Weston Brown of Houston, Elizabeth Louise Wheeler and Garrett Lee Wheeler both of Big Spring, Cash Dylan Walker and Colby Royce Walker both of Big Spring, Joshua Rainey and wife, Krissy of Aubry, Jordan Rainey and wife, Jennifer of Guam, Jeremy Rainey of Big Spring, Clint Rainey and wife, Chandlor of Texas University, Taylor Rainey and Reagan Rainey both of Coahoma; great great grandchildren, Conner Lee Dixon and Tucker Lee Dixon both of Midland, Kenzi Jayde Wooldridge of Big Spring, Paige Rainey and Garrett Rainey both of Aubry, Sidney Rainey, Kaila Rainey, and Jaxon Rainey all of Guam, and Jarrod Rainey of Texas University.Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
