Nancy Steedman Hull of Midland, Texas, passed away on the morning of Friday, September 25, 2026. She was 91. Nancy was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed.
Nancy was born on December 29, 1934, in Warrenton, Georgia, to Mary and James Steedman. Her family moved to Midland when she was a young girl, and she resided there for the majority of her life. Nancy attended the University of Texas at Austin, and she was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Throughout the years, she continued to be involved with the Texas Exes and the Pi Beta Phi alumna group.
Known for her unique sense of style, Nancy would inevitably be seen wearing some sort of bold jacket paired with generously sized jewelry that made a striking fashion statement. She was also an enthusiastic collector of unusual items, and she had a knack for finding things that were delightfully funky—the funkier, the better.
Nancy loved to travel, and she created priceless memories on trips all over the world. River cruises were often her favorite. When she wasn’t on a travel adventure, she had a full calendar of social events to keep her busy in Midland.
She was a Junior League sustainer, as well as a member of the Garden Club and a regular book club. She played bridge until her eyes could no longer see the cards (or maybe a little after that), and she always enjoyed attending the symphony. If one of her many friends wanted to meet for cocktails and great conversation, Nancy was their first call.
Nancy’s beautiful spirit and enthusiasm for life will be irreplaceable, but her memory will live on through the many lives she touched with her support and presence. She is survived by her daughter Susan, granddaughter Katie, and great-granddaughters Olivia and Payton.
