She received her education from Stanford University. She married William H. Aikman on March 24, 1948 in Phoenix, Arizona. He preceded her in death on August 23, 1998.Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cheryle Aikman of Midland; a sister, Anne Shimmel of Phoenix, Arizona; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
