Nancy Elizabeth Edwards, beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother, was called home by the Lord, peacefully in her sleep on April 16, 2013 after battling a long illness at the age of 61.Nancy was born in Midland on September 1, 1951 to C.M. and Ruth Jo Edwards. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1969. Nancy worked as a general office manager for several local companies in the Midland/Odessa area but was most proud of being a successful oilfield electrical business owner for 25 years in Kermit, Texas.Nancy was also a faithful Christian and devoted much of her time to being a pianist and organist for the First Baptist Church of Kermit.She is preceded in death by her father, C.M. Edwards of Midland, and her older brother Bruce Edwards also of Midland.Survivors include her mother, Ruth Jo Edwards of Midland, Texas, brother James and his wife Carmen Edwards of Midland, Texas, son Jason E. Gray of Midland, daughter Amy L. Gray of Lampasas, Texas, son Patrick Quest of Midland and daughter Amanda Quest and her husband Brian both of Midland. 5 grandchildren: Megan, Zach, Jared, Ashley and Emma. A niece Katie Edwards Weldon of Midland, and nephew James Edwards of Houston, Texas and numerous cousins and extended family.Memorial services will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 20, 2013 with Hospice Chaplain Robert Kirk, officiating.The family requests memorials be sent in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, TX 79702 or the American Cancer Society, 2304 W Wadley AVE, Midland, TX 79705.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
