Nancy de Loache Blankenship Crawford, 84, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Funeral services will be held at St. Nicholas Episcopal Church on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 3:00pm with Reverend David Huxley officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Nancy was born to Emma Alice and Laurence de Loache on Feb. 28, 1931 in Richmond, Virginia, but was raised in her beloved Roanoke, Virginia. Nancy attended Jefferson High School and later Stratford Academy. Afterwards, Nancy married Phillip Prillaman and had a daughter, Anne Marie (Cathy Cooper). Nancy and Phillip were later divorced. After an introduction to Joel Blankenship, made by her mother Alice, Nancy and Joel married after falling in love. Nancy and Joel had two children, Joel Blankenship, Jr. (deceased) and Larry Blankenship. The two moved to Hobbs, NM, and later to Midland, where they resided. After Joel’s death, Nancy met and later married Robert Lee Crawford. Nancy and Robert met while square dancing, which Nancy loved. Robert preceded her in death in early 2012. Nancy moved to Ft. Worth in early 2010.Nancy was active during her life in Midland. She served for many years as a Pink Lady at Midland Memorial Hospital and as a docent at the Petroleum Museum. She was active in Geowives and as a Daughter of the King. Nancy had many wonderful friends that she also enjoyed. She has touched and is remembered by many people.Nancy is survived by her daughter, Anne (Cathy) Cooper and her husband, Steve of Midloathian, Virginia; her son, Larry and his partner, Brian Bedwell of El Paso, TX; grandson, Stephen Lemoine of New Orleans, LA; step grandson, Bailey Cooper and wife Kimi of Austin, TX; and step-granddaughter, Stephanie Cooper of Midloathian, Virginia.Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joel Blankenship and Robert Crawford; and son Joel Blankenship, Jr.Nancy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the fine staff at the James L. West Special Care Alzheimer’s Center in Ft. Worth for the outstanding care and service.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the James L.
