Mrs. R. B. (Opal) Covington, 90, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, September 25, 2002, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2002, at Trinity Memorial Park with Dr. Claude Craven, a retired Baptist minister, officiating.      She was born on July 3, 1912 in Erath County, Texas and married Rolen B. Covington on May 22, 1937 in Stanton, Texas. He preceded her in death on September 4, 1986.       Mrs. Covington had been a resident of Big Spring since 1941. She had worked as a nurses aide at the Big Spring State Hospital and had also volunteered there for many years.      She was a Baptist.      Survivors include two sons, Ed Covington and Ted Covington both of Big Spring; one daughter, Mary Dority of Mariaville, Maine; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.      She was also preceded in death by one son, Rolen B.
