Morris E. Robertson, 77, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, December 14, 2002, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Dave Ring, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Rev. Elwin Collom, Chaplain with Home Hospice and Rev. Roger Huff, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born on March 7, 1925 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and married Jimmie Lou Dement on March 29, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas. Morris had been a resident of Big Spring since 1938 and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1942. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946. He owned and operated Morris Robertson Body Shop, Inc. for 52 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was past president of First United Methodist Church Trustee Board. He was a charter member of the Boys Club and the Heritage Museum. Morris was the Divisional Chairman for Easter Seals for six years and was Divisional Chairman of the Heart Association. He was past president of the American Business Club and was also named AMBUC of the year, the United Way, the Big Spring Body Shop Association and the National World War II Navy Reunion for the U. S. S. Neshanic crewmembers. He was currently serving as president of the Western Drifter Travel Club. Morris' past time was playing golf with friend, Richard, and grandson, Taylor.
