Sherrie, We were greatly saddened Monte's passing. There is a "brother/sisterhood" in coaching that last forever. When you, Monte and I "joined forces" as the coaching team of the Lady Rattlers a solid kinship was formed that I will never forget. Until the passing of Lynette's parents and Monte's dad I was able to keep track of where you guys were and what you accomplishing as every time (at least 2x a year) we would visit Lynette's folks we would go to Senior Citizens and I would sit and visit with Frankie. Now the only time we get to White Deer to is visit the cemetery and remember what we learned from the people of that very special community that produced some outstanding people. When we joined forces at Stinnett you and Monte gave me the help I needed to determine whether I was cut out to be a teacher/coach or not. I wound up putting 47 years in and owe so much of what I was able to do to the bond we formed at Stinnett (Jerry Dan, Hoot and David played a "small" role in that as well). Take care of yourself and make sure the girls and their families know what a great dad/grand-dad they had. I know you know what a great husband Monte was. My heartfelt condolences to Sherrie and the family. it was an honor to be the lay leader assisting Monte for so many years and I loved his stories ranging from refereeing to his days in the panhandle with his dad. Well done, good and faithful servant...

Sherrie and family, I was so sorry to hear of Monte's passing. I got to hang around with him a little when my brother Ronnie was still at home. They were best friends at one time. He will always be remembered with fondness. I know Frankie was so proud of him. He spoke about him all the time. Love and prayers to all.
