Misty Gayle Martin, 47, of Big Spring, passed away at her home, Thursday, June 11, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, June 15, 2026 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.

Misty was born December 26, 1978 in Lubbock, Texas to parents Hoss and Sharon Edwards Martin. Misty graduated from Spur High School in Spur where she excelled in Basketball and FFA. She graduated from Howard College with an Associates in Science Degree. Misty had a love for all people and family and she especially loved children. Having Jeremy as her son and best friend was the joy of her life. They enjoyed going to get 7Brew strawberry smoothies and HTeo’s unsweet tea (huge with ice), and Jeremy’s Starbucks. Her favorite past times were rooting for Texas Tech and the Dallas Cowboys.

Misty is survived by her husband Jessie Ybarra, son Jeremy Ybarra, three daughters Jessica Arrendondo (Johnathon), Jaci Ybarra (Monica) and Jami Gomez (Chuy), grandmother Bonnie Edwards, brother Scott Martin (Lisa), aunts Patricia Heinrich (Glenn) and Barbara Hardin (Charles), Mark Edwards (Nat), mother Sharon Martin, sister Jennifer Evans (Clay); five granddaughters and three grandsons, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Hoss Martin, grandfathers Everett Martin and Doc Edwards, grandmother Frances Martin, mother-in-law and father-in-law Nancy Ybarra and Santos Ybarra, uncle Larry Martin and aunt Nan Martin.

This is à sad time in our lives when we have to say goodbye to our sweet Misty. We have some great memories of our time together and she will be missed very much. Prayers to Jesse and Jeremy love to you both.
