Minnie Mae (Doodle) Hooper, 84, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, June 26, 2002, in a Sterling City nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, June 28, 2002, at the Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with Samuel A. Segundo, Jr. of Family Faith Victory Center, officiating. She was born on July 11, 1917 in Paris, Texas and married Dale Hooper on December 26, 1946 in Lubbock, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1975. Mrs. Hooper came to Big Spring in 1953 and had worked at Gibson's Discount Center and Wal-Mart in the receiving soft lines department. She was a Christian. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jesse and Loydeen Mince and Leslie and Teri Lee Hooper, all of Big Spring; twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one son, Don Gaylon Mince in 1971. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater West Texas Chapter, 4400 N. Big Spring, Suite C-32, Midland, Texas 79705 The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
