Dominga (Minga) Salinas, 58, originally of McAllen, Texas, passed away with her family gathered around her on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, in Midland. The viewing for Mrs. Salinas will be Friday, October 10, 2008 at the funeral home. A rosary service will be held at 7:00pm, Friday, October 10, 2008 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Midland with Father Edward DeLeon, OMI, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.Dominga was born January 10, 1950, in Mission, Texas to Guadalupe and Bonifacio Barbosa. She worked as an administrative specialist in the medical field. In 1986, Minga, along with her husband and family moved to Aurora, Illinois, where they continued to raise their family. In May of this year, Minga and Robert moved to their new home in Midland, Texas, where they planned on spending their retired life. All who knew and loved her will miss her.Survivors include her husband, Roberto Salinas; her children, David Salinas of Chicago, Illinois; Daniel Salinas of Midland; Jose Ruben Salinas of Chicago, Illinois; Michael Salinas of Midland; her grandchildren, Roberto Ray, Jose Ruben, Jr., Eliajah, Amaya and Sariah Salinas; her father, Bonifacio Barbosa; her brothers and sisters, Bonifacio, Jr., Hector, Javier, Arturo, Raul, David, Lilliana and Yolanda; and numerous nieces and nephews that hold a special place in Dominga's heart.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1405 Garden Lane, Midland, TX 79701.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
