Milton "Rip" Lewis, 86, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, January 26, 2012, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Charlie Edmonds, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, January 27, 2012, at the funeral home.Rip was born on December 17, 1925, in Dawson County, Texas to John and Lois (Ward) Lewis. He married Juanita Wright on February 7, 1948 in Big Spring. Rip grew up in Stanton and served his country in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946. He retired from Cosden Oil Refinery in 1981. Rip loved being outdoors, especially hunting and being with his grandchildren.He was a member of Birdwell Lane Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife, Juanita Lewis of Big Spring; two daughters, Lea Oma Lewis Gray and husband, Pat of Midland, and Cheryl Rau and husband, Lee of Big Spring; seven grandchildren, Candee Williams, Bryan Harbour and wife, Crystal, Brent Newton and wife, Tammy, Chad Harbour and wife, Cindy, and Cheree Regan and husband, Brian all of Big Spring and Candra Conger and husband, Tony of Midland; 14 great grandchildren, Stephanie Williams, Joshua Patridge, Morgan Harbour, Kerrigan Harbour, Kaelen Harbour, Hunter Harbour, Kelsee Perkins, Kaycee Regan, Rachel Regan, Trent Newton, Brittian Conger, Mackenzie Conger, and Cayson Conger; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Janell Williams; one son-in-law, James Beeson; one grandson, Brad Davis Williams; two great grandchildren, Dalton Lee Harbour and Peyton Renee' Harbour; and two sisters, Claudia Massingill and Lena Mae Lewis.
