Mildred Permenter, 84, of Big Spring, went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 22, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Randy Cotton, pastor, and Rev. Joey Bacon, associate pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.She was born on July 4, 1924, in Hamilton, Texas and married Vernon W. Permenter on October 1, 1948 in Colorado City, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1995.Mildred came to Big Spring in 1957. She worked for Big Spring ISD for 25 years in the food service department, mostly at Goliad and Kentwood. She retired in December 1997. She had been a member of the former Eager Beaver Sewing Club and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.Survivors include two sons, Vernon D. Permenter and wife, Beebe and Earl Permenter and wife, Natalie all of Big Spring; one daughter, Colleen Huttegger and husband, MSgt. William (Retired), of San Antonio; special friends and caregivers, Vanessa and Gary Austin; six grandchildren, Donna Dugger, Ann Smith and Jean Noggler all of Big Spring, Edwin Huttegger and wife, Roseanne of Live Oak, California, Paula Huttegger and husband, James of San Antonio and Nathaniel Permenter of Big Spring; seven great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren and one sister, Earline Wilson of San Angelo. She was also preceded in death by her parents, William Edward Foree and Deller Louise Foree; one grandson, Jimmy Carl Young; one sister and three brothers.
