Mildred Marie Phillips

Mildred Phillips, 81, of Stanton, died on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton with Rev. Bob Porterfield, officiating. She was born on April 28, 1925, in Stanton, Texas and married George Phillips on November 18, 1939 in Stanton, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2005.Mildred was a life long resident of Stanton. She had worked as a waitress, store clerk and as care giver and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Carl Phillips of Alabama, J. D. & Barbara Phillips of Stanton, Charlie Phillips of Midland; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; two brothers, J. C. Steward of Midland and J. M. Steward of Houston; one sister-in-law, Iris Phillips of Big Spring and several nieces & nephews.She was also preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
