Mildred Ervin Hopper of Midland, Texas died Saturday, September 9, 2006 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Midland on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Dr. Gary Dyer, pastor, officiating. Private burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison, Arkansas, with arrangements under the direction of Christeson Funeral Home.Mildred, a long time West Texas resident, was born July 3, 1927 in Newton County, Arkansas. She was a 1946 graduate of Harrison High School in Harrison, Arkansas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Midland, Texas.Mrs. Hopper is survived by her husband, Bill of Midland; two daughters, Becky Hooper of Houston, Texas and Catherine Harber of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Clavey, Essie Tate and Evelyn Reubell all of Harrison Arkansas; two brothers, Bailey Ervin of El Paso, Texas and Jim Ervin of Pottsville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mr. John B.
