Miguel “Michael” Gutierrez

Miguel “Michael” Gutierrez, of Midland Texas went home to the Lord, Friday November 17, 2023.

Miguel was born on September 29, 1965, in Midland, Texas to Armando Gutierrez Jr. and Enedina R. Gonzales. He was a graduate of Midland High School and had a passion for golf, although he enjoyed all sports. For many years, Miguel managed Jorge’s restaurant in Midland before opening his own restaurant, Old Monterrey, on Illinois in Midland. He was an amazing chef and loved to cook for his friends and family. Miguel was known for always having a smile on his face and never meeting a stranger.

Miguel is survived by his only son, Matthew Gutierrez of Austin, Texas; his parents, Armando Gutierrez Jr. and Enedina R. Gonzales, both of Midland, Texas, as well as his two brothers, Tommy and Bobby Gutierrez, both of Texas and his only son Matthew Gutierrez of Austin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his only loving daughter, Veronica Veloz Gutierrez, and his grandparents, Armando and Francisa Gutierrez and Selistino and Paz Rodriguez of Midland Texas. A memorial mass is pending for a later date.
