After a courageous decade long battle with cancer, Michelle Denise Johnson, age 54 of Big Spring passed away Monday, July 18, 2022. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, July 22, 2022 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

She was born July 5, 1968 in Big Spring, Texas to parents Bobby Johnson and Jeannine (Cauble) Johnson.

Michelle enjoyed volunteering her time in multiple church nurseries. Taking care of children was something that she thoroughly enjoyed. Spending time with her grandkids was her favorite thing to do. She was an active member of the First Church of Nazarene. In her spare time, she enjoyed journaling and studying her bible.

Michelle is survived by her mother whom she lived with and cared for, Jeannine Johnson of Big Spring; her oldest daughter Britney Friddle and her husband Ira of Big Spring; her son Steven Johnson and his wife Tylar of Big Spring; and her youngest daughter Shelbie Hudgins and her husband Jake of Midland.

She had seven grandchildren: Abigail and Aaron Friddle of Big Spring; Draven and Halen Johnson of Big Spring; Jaxen, Everly, and Camryn Higgs of Midland; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Bobby Johnson of Big Spring; her grandmother and grandfather Rheba and Buster Cauble of Big Spring.

My father was Henry Clyde Johnson, the older brother of your father Bobby Ray Johnson. They were both military veterans. My father was heart broken when your dad passed away in 1971 and I always thought you were the sweetest cousin I had. We were around the same age. My heart goes out to your beautiful children and grandchildren and your mother to have to endure your loss. Caregiving is no easy thing and I know you did a wonderful job with your mother up until your body gave out and the good Lord called you home.
