Michael Wayne Hinchliffe

Michael Wayne Hinchliffe, 45, of Midland, Texas passed from this earthly life on Friday, February 4, 2022.

Mike was born July 17, 1976 to David and Beverly Hinchliffe.  Mike was raised by Devin and Beverly Creager in Mentone, TX with his sister, Misty Dawn and brothers David, Randall and Coy.

Mike had a passion for large family gatherings, whether it was for the holidays, or a weekend at the lake.  He and Christal took their camper on road trips as often as he could get away because he knew that family time and making memories was the best way for their family legacy to live on.

Mike always brought out the best in others by believing in and uplifting those around him.  By doing so he was a highly respected leader, mentor, and friend throughout his personal and professional life.  Mike always led by example, so his work ethic was second to none.  When Mike wasn’t working long shifts in the oil patch as a wireline engineer, he was spending time with his family and friends, visiting as many Margaritaville’s as possible, and finding a beach bar to enjoy.

Mike had many side passions that he shared with his family and friends as often as possible.  When he was home, you could find him over a BBQ grill or on his patio having a beer, playing pool, or working on a remodeling project.  Everyone wanted to be around Mike because he was charismatic and the life of the party.

As busy as Mike was, he always made time to share Conway Twitty with his Momma.  If he heard a song that reminded him of a moment they shared, he would reach out and share it with her.  There’s no bond like the bond with a son and his momma and he made sure he always nurtured that.

Mike and the joy he brought to all his friends and family will be cherished and missed forever.

Mike is survived by his parents Beverly and Devin Creager and David and Joan Hinchliffe, wife Christal Hinchliffe, son Robert Hinchliffe, daughter in law, Destiny Beckner, grandson Jaxson Hinchliffe, his bonus children, Todd Henson, Jaedon Hinchliffe, Noah Little, Riley Little, and Jackson Ortega and bonus grandchildren Makayla Beckner, Katelyn Beckner, Blake Little, Easton Little, his siblings, David Hinchliffe, Misty Richter, Randall Hill, Coy Creager, and 12 nieces and nephews, 5 aunts and uncles, 4 cousins.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Branch @ npw, next door to Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.
