Michael R. Moore, aged 67, passed away on July 2, 2024, in Midland, Texas. Born on September 11, 1956, Mike was known for his boundless generosity and friendly demeanor, characteristics that endeared him to all who knew him.
Mike served honorably in the Navy for four years, where he embraced the rigor and camaraderie of military life. Following his service, he embarked on a career that saw him become a beloved figure in the greater West Texas area. Known affectionately as the “Fireball Guy.” Mike’s dedication to his customers was evident in the many miles he traveled to meet their needs.
Outside of work, Mike was a devoted family man and a fervent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys. His hobbies included regular trips to Hobbs, NM to visit his dad, where they enjoyed friendly competition at the gun range. Mike was also an avid golfer, often playing with his brother David, who were both known for their spirited games. At home, he took joy in the company of his two dogs, Butter’s and Cooper, and his meticulously cared-for aquarium.
Mikes personal life was anchored by his deep love for his wife, Robin. Together, they embarked on memorable adventures, from cruises to spontaneous weekend getaways, cherishing every moment spent together.
He leaves behind a large and loving family, including Robin, his two daughters, two bonus daughters, two bonus sons, 12 grandchildren, two great-grandbabies, two nephews and his dad.
Following his final wishes, Mikes family will hold a private service to celebrate his life and legacy. His warmth, generosity, and love for life will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
