Michael Rhea Lightner, 51, of Stanton, died on Monday, November 23, 2009, in an Odessa hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 27, 2009 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.He was born on December 15, 1957, in New Berry, England. He worked as a craftsman in construction and had lived in Arkansas for a number of years before moving to Stanton in June of 2009. He was a Baptist.Survivors include one son, Jonathan Rhea Lightner of Royal, Arkansas; one grandson, Christopher Rhea Lightner of Royal, Arkansas; his father and step mother, David and Joyce Lightner of Stanton; and a sister and brother-in-law, Margo and Rickie Wolfe of Willis.He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl May Graves; one brother, Markham Lee Lightner; and his grandparents, Rhea Lightner and Winnie Mae Lightner.The family suggests memorials to the Martin County Senior Citizens Center, P. Im thankful for his life and time we had together. Oneof the best times we had together I was around 14 and we were walking around in downtown Hot Springs. Everything was snow covered and we had a snowball fight on the prominade. We were always walking and riding our bikes all over hot springs. Through all of the ups and downs, one things for sure, I know he always loved me, and I loved him. I may never see him again but the memories will always be there. Now, at 28, I'm making memories of my own with my son, Christopher.
