Michael Lee Hagelstein, age 75 passed away Friday, January 27, 2023. Memorial Service will be 2pm, Thursday, February 2, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Stanton Texas.
He was born on August 21st, 1947 in Bakersfield California. He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life on August 12th, 1966 in Bakersfield California.
Michael Lee Hagelstein worked as a Self Employed Contract Welder for 40 years. On Father’s Day 1974, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. Throughout his Christian walk, he served in numerous positions in the church. He served as a Board Member, Deacan, Worship Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader and Marriage Counselor. He took his Faith with him wherever he went and even the oilfields became his mission field.
In his free time he enjoyed playing tennis, hiking, bowling, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a diehard Dodger fan, a 49ner fan, rain or shine, win or lose. Faith, Family, Work, and Fun was how he lived his life.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Hagelstein, and his children, Michael Lee Hagelstein Jr., Mishelle Wheeler and Lorra Johnson and their families, including 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ardis Wilson, father Lee Hagelstein and his brother Robert Johnson.
The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church of Stanton, Texas.
