Michael Riek, 27 of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on May 3, 2021. A family visitation will begin at 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday May 10, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory. At 6:00 pm to 9:00pm on Monday May 10, 2021 the visitation will be open to all.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED.

Michael’s parents are Ruben and Lucy Gomez of Midland, TX and father Steven Riek and maternal grandmother Helen Riek of Russellville, AR. His passion was sports especially basketball. His idol was the Black Mamba Kobe Bryant. Michael had a very giving spirit like his grandmother. There wasn’t a friend or family member he didn’t try to help. Very fashion forward he loved Jordan’s and had a great collection of clothes and hats. He loved spending time with his cousins and children. He is survived by his children Trey and Emrie. Michael had 6 uncles and 3 aunts. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Rey and Elodia Rivera and Anthony Riek, uncles Leo, Ramon, Jesse, and two aunts Viola, and Rosemary.

I miss you so much

My prayers are with the family, I don't understand, but God does and His plan for Mickey is greater. Mikey you were loved very much by so many people including myself. God doesn't make mistakes and he has called you home to be with Him. Our kids belong to God, and He loans them to us until their work on this earth is completed. Mikey work is completed and now He is dancing in heaven with the Lord. You will never be forgotten, and I promise you that I will meet you in heaven. Love you Mikey always!

He always had a smile and a heart of gold....I will miss him deeply.. so sorry for your loss

Mike was a man that ALWAYS made us laugh. He loved it when I sent him home with tres leches and bbq. He will be greatly missed. Our condolences to his family and his daughter as well as her mom. Our prayers are with all of you.
