Meredith Newman, 97, of Midland, died on Saturday, January 19, 2008, at her residence. Interment will be at a later date in Tucson, Arizona.She was born on July 1, 1910, in Claude, Texas and married Jack Newman on December 31, 1932 in Phoenix, Arizona. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1961.Meredith was of the Episcopalian faith.Survivors include three daughters, Marion Frazier, of Midland, Gwen Patterson, of Amarillo, and Meredith Hedger, of Oak Harbor, Washington.Local arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home of Midland and Bring Funeral Home of Tucson, Arizona.
