Melva Buntyn

Buntyn, Melva, 83, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, August 17, 2000, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 19, 2000, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Phillip McClendon, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Joplin, Missouri, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on September 12, 1916 in Anson, Texas and married Tommy Buntyn on September 15, 1949 in Weatherford, Texas. Mrs. Buntyn had lived in Texas and New Mexico and had been a resident of Big Spring off and on for several years. She taught school and was a homemaker. She was a member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church in San Angelo. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Buntyn of Big Spring; one daughter and son-in-law, Sheree and Mike Moates of Big Spring; and two granddaughters, Kirstie Moates of Lubbock and Lindsay Moates of Big Spring.
