Melissa Ann Thomas, 58, of Del Rio, Texas passed away Saturday October 11, 2025 at Midland Memorial Hospital surrounded by numerous close family and friends. Viewing and visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home, 3800 N. Big Spring Street Midland, Texas 79705. Melissa was born on October 2, 1967 in Del Rio, Texas to Mary Lillian Thomas and Douglas Thomas. Melissa was a dedicated Mother and Grandmother who loved to laugh and bring a smile to those around her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grand babies as well as feeding everyone that she welcomed into her home. She loved arts and crafts and making things with her hands to share with those that she loved. Despite life’s many hardships, Melissa never failed to come out on top and take care of those that she loved. She enjoyed spending time with her cats and loved birds and all colors of the rainbow bringing a festive and fun atmosphere to the day.
Melissa is survived by her daughter, Virginia Ann Bergstrom and her husband Cole; son, Steven Clark; grandchildren, Blanee Ann Clark, Shane Clark, Rhett Ramirez, Elissa Bergstrom, Oliver Bergstrom; brother, Anthony Thomas and wife Rosie and brother, David Thomas.
Melissa is preceded in death by parents, Mary Lillian Thomas and Douglas Thomas.
With the love of these family members, but also the love of the extended family and friends that helped surround her and comfort her through life, we pray thanksgiving for being touched by the love of her beautiful soul and wish her the peace and reward she has well earned.
Flowers are encouraged as she enjoyed the brightness they brought.
