I was a neighbor to the Easters from 1956 to early 1963 when my family moved to Tulsa. I often played with Jim and occasionally Bob. Mrs. Easter allowed me to vist at their home many times and I recall being a guest for lunch and being allowed to visit often., I did not realize it until later, but Mrs. Easter, along with Mr. Easter, had a big impact on me. Mrs. Easter invited me to attend summer bible school at their church and I learned my basics of being a Christian during that time. She also invited me to a community play of "Toby Tyler" and took me for hamburgers with the family. One night, the Easters invited me go attend the circus and they bought me a toy trombone that I got a lot of enjoyment playing. Mrs. Easter was totally dedicated to her family and it was special to have known her when I was young . She was a great lady who will never be forgotten.

Maxine and Murrie were great neighbors and wonderful friends to me during the years I lived next door to them and for many years thereafter. I am very saddened to learn of Maxine's passing. She was a fine lady who was devoted to Murrie and her children and so proud of her grandchildren. My sincere sympathy to Murrie, Bob & Jim and their families. Nan

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Easter when my husband was a patient at Manor Park. They ate at the same table and I was there at lunch time often. She seemed a nice, dignified lady and always looked neat and well dressed. Also, like my husband, she was a member of "the Greatest Generation". We are losing them in great numbers now and our country is the worst for it. My dondolences to her family.
