Maudiella Lindsey, 89, of Lubbock, formerly of Sand Springs, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, September 25, 2023 at Hermleigh Cemetery.
Maudiella was born January 3, 1934 in Rusk County to parents Ada (Harmon) and Earnest Fawver. She married Ray Lindsey April 19, 1952 in Snyder, Texas and he preceded her in death in 2005. She lived for husband (whom was always first) and her children. She was a homemaker but she also had a couple of part-time jobs where she worked as a nurse’s aide. In her later years, she loved reading mystery novels, the bible, watching old westerns on TV, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the love of her life. She enjoyed Blue Bell Vanilla Ice-cream and Dairy Queen. She would mess with her children while they were watching TV by dancing in front of it. She was a member of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ of Big Spring.
She is survived by her children: Kathy O’Hare and husband Don, Jimmy Lindsey and wife Nellie, Judy Sanders and husband Ron, and Brenda Strickland and husband Jimmy. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kenny O’Hare and wife Jamie, Dahnae Heydon and husband Paul, Jimmy Lindsey, Jr., and wife Gracie, Donny Lindsey, Rhonda Allamon and husband Kyle, Leslee Miller and husband Brian, Stephanie Solano and husband Eddie, Jason Strickland and wife Mary, 14 great-grandchildren and one sister Peggy Cope.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
