Mary Elloui Harwood Moseley, 88, passed away peacefully on May 25th, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved and cherished her. She was generous, supportive, and encouraged all those in her life. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel.
Elloui was born on November 13th, 1937, in Durant, Oklahoma to Odes and Anna Harwood. She was raised in Oklahoma City where she met Louis in grade school. She and Louis were married January 31st, 1958, while they were students at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Their 68-year partnership was marked by mutual devotion, shared faith, and dedication to family.
Elloui graduated with a Bachelor’s of Secondary Language Arts from OU in 1959 and a Master’s in Reading Instruction from Tulsa University in 1969. She was an English and reading instructor at Midland and Odessa College.
She and Louis have been members of St. Luke’s United Methodist church since 1970. She was an active member of Petroleum Engineers Wives, United Methodist Women, and Delta Kappa Gamma. Elloui enjoyed sewing, playing tennis and the piano. She was an avid reader and a published writer. Her words of wisdom and unconditional love will be dearly missed.
Elloui is survived by her husband John Louis Moseley, daughters Pam Pace (Bryce), Karen Martinson (John), and grandchildren Taylor Pace, Austin Pace (Phi), Chase Martinson (Jennifer), Hannah Collins (Derrick), and her brother James Harwood.
