Mary Anne Kupp Mann, 80, of Midland passed away on November 27, 2014. Services will be held at St Nicholas Episcopal Church on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2 PM.Mary was born on October 6, 1934 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania to John Hale, MD, and Mary Elizabeth Kupp. She grew up in Palmerton, graduating from Westtown Friends Academy. She attended the University of Vermont, and was selected to the Eastern United States Ski Team. She was an accomplished slalom racer. She met Thomas G. Mann in July 1954 and they were married on September 6, 1954. They lived in Texas most of their lives, Abilene, Tyler and Midland, and 9 years in Locust Valley, New York. She loved her family. Reading and traveling were two of her favorite hobbies. She volunteered for the Friends of the Library for more than 30 years.Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gray Mann; her parents, John and Mary Kupp.She is survived by her three daughters, Karen Moore and husband, James; Kathleen Carney and husband, Jack; Mary Dean and husband, Glenn; seven grandchildren, Dr. Jonathan Burkes, William Burkes and wife, Sarah, Katie Myers and husband, Josh, John Thomas Carney, and his wife Amanda and Graham Carney; Christopher Dean, Patrick Dean and wife, Miranda; one great- granddaughter, Ruthie Myers; one sister, Elizabeth Kupp.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org, or St. Nicholas Episcopal Church, 4000 W Loop 250 N, Midland, Texas 79707. ,
