Mary Louise Gill Wood, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt passed away peacefully on October 7, 2009 after a brief, but couragious battle with cancer and a long battle with fibromyalgia. She was born in Canton, Illinois on February 20, 1950. She graduated from Nicolas County High School in Carlisle, Kentucky in 1968. She was a member of Baptist Temple Church in Big Spring and was a member of the church choir, and had worked for Specs and Company in Big Spring.She is survived by her husband, Daryl Wood; a daughter, Kathy Najera and husband, Ricardo; a granddaughter, Abrianna Najera; a brother, James Gill and wife, Sheila of San Antonio; a niece, Pam Gill of San Antonio; nephews, Steve Gill and wife, Kristine of Houston, Jamie Gill, Jeff Gill and wife, Jennifer all of San Antonio; a step-daughter, Tawa Wood of Big Spring; a step-son, David Wood and wife, Zina of Big Spring; a step-grandson, Brent Wood of Big Spring; great-nieces, Megan Gill of San Antonio, Katie Gill of Houston, Lexi Gill-Garcia of San Antonio, Karri Gill of Houston and Taelor Gill of San Antonio; and great-nephews, Triston Gill, Chance Gill, Ian Gill, Braden Gill and Landon Gill all of San Antonio and Reagan Gill of Houston; as well as many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Matkovich Gill and James Carl Gill; and a step-granddaughter, Casie Wood.Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Nalley-PIckle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Chaplain Dean Thomas, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.Pallbearers will be Steve Gill, Jamie Gill, David Wood, Brent Wood, Ricardo Najera and Ray Hilbrunner.
