Mary Louise Crosby went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 19, 2014. Her legacy of faith and love will continue to live in all that knew her.She was born October 22, 1923. On April 17, 1941, she married John E. Crosby, Jr.Her parents, a brother, a sister, and a son, Stephen Davis Crosby, preceded her in death.Mary attended the University of Texas, was secretary-bookkeeper of The Southwestern Company, Inc. the family owned business for 17 years. She was a long time member and treasurer of the Yucca Garden Club and treasurer of her beloved Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.Her family and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her will remember her as a vivacious, loving, giving individual. The kitchen was Mary’s favorite spot at home where she created her many baked goods to donate to the Allison Cancer Center, Midland Memorial Hospital, Baptist Crisis Center, and other charitable events.Mary is survived by her husband John of more than 72 years, son John and wife Patty, daughter Susan Smith and husband Walter. She has five grandchildren, Amy Stroup, and husband Jon, John Michael Crosby and wife Laurie, Brandon Smith, Catheryn Aguirre and husband Fernando, Cynthia Witt and husband Colin and thirteen great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of First Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 21, 2014.To honor Mary, memorial donations may be made to Gifts of Hope, P.O.
