I was a student of Mrs Walkers at MHS my soph. year. That was a few years back... however I never forgot her and I have always admired and felt special to her when I would still see her.. After I graduated from MHS in 1974 I went to work at Sloan-Brothers Buick ( there for 20 years!) There I met a wonderful, funny thoughtful truly a gentleman named John Walker.. Little did I know. One day a short time after I began working there, Mrs. Walker was in the service dept. having her car serviced. Still not putting 2 and 2 together, I said hello , ask how she was etc etc. I went on back to doing my work . For some reason or whatever, I had gone up to the showroom floor and Mrs. Walker was sitting in Johns office. I said hello again in passing when John ask 'do you know this lady'? I said yes she was one of my sophmore teachers. He and his unforgetable laugh.... said this is MY wife. What a small world. For many years I had the pleasure of knowing both John and Mrs Walker. They were truly very fine, wonderful, loving folks who loved their family dearly and enjoyed their friends. John was a treasure. He and John Barnett were quite a pair! I just wanted to let you all know how very much I thought of both you parents and family. They held a special place in my heart. I know they are both waling the Streets of Gold in Gods loving care! God Bless you all and comfort you in this time of loss. Sincerely, Carla Hodges

We have missed her e-mails this past year. We know she loved having her family host the 1252nd in Fort Worth last year. She will be missed.

To the Mary Frances Walker Family: It saddens me to hear that Ms Walker passed away. Betty and I thought so much of her and enjoyed her many reminder of how her husband got my dad (Tony) to come to 1252nd reunion in Midland back in the 1970's. He enjoyed them up to the time of his passing in 1992, as did my mother (Clara). Mary Frances was the 1252nd's biggest cheerleader and I am sure she will continue to do so from on high. May God Bless her and her family at this time of loss. With sincere condolences, Jerry & Betty Dorcz
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Frances Templeton Walker was an inspiration to all regional historians. When she reached her 90th birthday, Permian Historical Society named Frances to its prestigious Nonagenarian Group--those members over the age of 90 who still take part in the the preservation of Permian Basin history. Frances gave a well-received presentation to Permian Historical Society at its spring meeting in April 2007. We will miss Frances, but she goes with our love.
