Mary Ellen (Camp) Bartlett, 63, of Big Spring, died on Monday, February 28, 2005, in the Hospice of Midland Unit Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Big Spring with Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.She was born on April 17, 1941, in Centrailia, Illinois. She married Ronnie Smith in October 1960 and then married Wayne Bartlett in November 1983.Mary Ellen moved to Coahoma with her family in 1947 and attended Coahoma schools, graduating in 1959 with honors. She began working for Cosden Petroleum Corp. in August 1959, retiring in May 1997 from American Petrofina after 38 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Grace Sunday School Class and a member of the Cosden (Refinery) 25 Year Club, the Desk and Derrick Lunch Group, the "80" Domino Group, and the Tumbleweed Miata Club. Mary Ellen loved her family fiercely and always enjoyed her job. She enjoyed playing games, cooking, handwork, playing dominoes, reading, fishing and camping.Survivors include her beloved husband, Wayne Bartlett of Big Spring; two daughters, Melissa (Missy Smith) Webster and husband Scott, of Harlingen and Linda Knappe and husband Craig, of San Angelo; three grandsons, Taylor Webster of Harlingen and Christopher and Zachary Knappe of San Angelo; one sister, Martha Helen Nordhaugen of Wade, North Carolina; one brother, Paul Camp and wife Kay, of Denton; one brother-in-law, H. W. Bartlett and wife Clara, of Hereford; two aunts, Jennie Court of Greeley, Colorado and Merlyne Rogers of Big Spring; several nephews, nieces cousins and many friends, all of whom were considered special. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dagmer and Paul Camp; and by her much loved brother-in-law and nephew, Les and David Nordhaugen. The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Midland, P.O.
