Mary Elizabeth Scott, 65, of Midway, died on Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Jim Binnix, pastor of Midway Baptist Church and Rev. Walter McCall, pastor of Vincent Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
She was born on June 13, 1938, in Palestine, Texas and married Kenneth Scott on June 1, 1957 in Garden City, Texas. Mary had lived in Midway since 1957. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Scott of Midway; two daughters and sons-in-law, Alisa and Mike Jaird of Midway and Sonceia and Kerry Lowery of Coahoma; her father, Royal Tucker Duncan, Sr. and wife, Lidora of Big Spring; her brother, Royal T. Duncan, Jr. of Abilene; her sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Autry Moore of Big Spring; her grandson, Hunter Dale Lowery of Coahoma; her granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Lowery of Coahoma; a brother-in-law, Vancil Scott and wife, Francis of Midland, a sister-in-law, Sarah Hodges and husband, Bob of Greenwood; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Maye Duncan.
