Mary Elizabeth Anderson, 84, of Plainview, passed away Friday, December 30, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with Rev. Dennis Hartley of Dare to Believe Ministries in Plainview, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.Mary was born on April 16, 1921 to Jesse Bethel and Adah Helen Van Buskirk in Annona, Texas. She married J. D. (Pete) Anderson on November 3, 1946. She graduated from West Texas School of Nursing in 1946. She and Pete had two sons and one daughter. She retired from a dutiful nursing career in 1991. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Big Spring until moving to Plainview in 2003 where she was a member of Dare to Believe Ministries.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband and an infant grandson. Survivors include her children, Travis W. and Tommie Anderson of Louisville, Colorado, David D. "Yogi" and Betty Anderson of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Doris Jean and Dennis Hartley of Plainview, Texas; her sisters, Nell Burrow and her husband, Gerald of Quitman, Texas and Earlene Bolton of Clarksville, Texas. Mary left behind 7 adoring grandchildren and 11 loving great-grandchildren.
