Marvin H. Holland, 71, of San Angelo, formerly of Big Spring, died on Friday, June 28, 2002, in a San Angelo hospital. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Monday, July 1, 2002, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Arnold Tonn, pastor of Spring Tabernacle Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. Mr. Holland was born on February 5, 1931 in Decatur, Alabama and married Oralia Maestas on April 8, 1950 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He worked for the U. S. Post Office for 18 years in Big Spring. He was of the Pentacostal faith. Mr. Holland retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He was a life member of the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans and International Order of Odd Fellows. Survivors include his wife, Oralia Holland of San Angelo; two sons, Ronald Holland of San Angelo and Mervin Holland of Vancouver, Washington; one daughter, Marilyn Baumia of Temple; one sister, Maedean Barber of Detroit, Michigan; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
